CINCINNATI — UC football offensive lineman Trevor Radosevich talked with the media after the first day of padded practices, offering up his thoughts on the give-and-take with the defensive line.

Radosevich is getting run at a few different spots along the line as he shows evolving positional versatility in college.

"First day of full pads is gonna be a little chippy, but I know that we're all just trying to make each other better," Radosevich said. "At the end of the day, we all love each other up. We talk to each other about how we can make each other better. I love getting off the field going up to Dontay (Corleon), (Jowon) Briggs, asking about how they felt when I did this kind of technique, this kind of punch, this kind of lift. So getting feedback from them, it really helps us. I know it might look like chippy on the field, but as soon as we get in the locker room, it's best buds."

The UC defensive front seven is a great test for UC's morphing offensive line. It's still early in practice but when I watched Saturday, the first team comprised John Williams and Deondre Buford at the two tackle spots, Luke Kandra at guard, Gavin Gerhardt at center, and then a mix of Dartanyan Tinsley and Radosevich at the other guard spot.

Cincinnati has some decent depth in the room now that Buford is in the fold, but the big question is who ends up being the final starting five. Gerhardt is the only returning starter from last season.
