CINCINNATI — ESPN analytics is echoing a sentiment I've brought up throughout the offseason for UC football: One of the easiest schedules in the sport.

247Sports recently ranked the 10 easiest Power Five schedules using ESPN's Football Power Index and the Bearcats own the seventh-easiest slate.

"Texas, TCU, and Oklahoma are the teams everyone is talking about in the Big 12 this season, but have you seen the schedule Cincinnati gets to tackle as a first-year Power Five? The Bearcats, with former Florida and Arizona State quarterback Emory Jones taking the reins at quarterback, misses the Longhorns and gets several of its toughest conference games at home under first-year coach Scott Satterfield," Brad Crawford wrote.

Cincinnati's win total opened in a tie for last among Big 12 teams at 4.5 wins, but that's been bet up to 5.5 wins on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The over is +135, while the under is -155.

With seven home games and the team largely missing the heaviest hitters in the conference, anything less than five wins feels like a disappointment.

The work continues in the next 10 days when Fall Camp gets rolling.

2023 Opponents: Eastern Kentucky, at Pittsburgh, Miami (Ohio), Oklahoma, at BYU, Iowa State, Baylor, at Oklahoma State, UCF, at Houston, at West Virginia, Kansas
