Ray Guy Award Names Mason Fletcher to Weekly 'Ray's Eight' List

Cincinnati got a some great boots from its punter on Saturday.

CINCINNATI — UC punter Mason Fletcher helped flip the field throughout Saturday's 20-6 loss to Oklahoma and he got noticed. The Ray Guy Award committee selected him as a member of the weekly "Ray's Eight" top punters list.

Fletcher averaged a season-high 48.2 yards on four punts, including three inside the 12-yard line. He was a special teams weapon that helped Cincinnati's defense keep the Sooners in check.

The 2022 Ray Guy Award finalist holds the sixth-best active punting average in the nation (44.7 yards), as he looks to up that mark at a higher altitude against BYU.
