CINCINNATI — UC made a big announcement on Tuesday as the school crossed the $100 million mark on the Day One Ready Campaign.

Over 11,000 donors came together to hit the mark, including 17 donations of $1 million or more.

“We set an ambitious goal to compete for championships on the first day we entered the Big 12, and we can’t thank our Bearcats community enough for what has been an outpouring of support,” said Director of Athletics John Cunningham in a release. “We’ve seen advances already—in facilities, support for our student-athletes, and critical investment needed to be championship ready. We thank our supporters and fans. The future is bright for Cincinnati Athletics.”

The funds will provide crucial resources and facilities upgrades for Cincinnati athletics as it continues getting onboarded into Power Conference life.

Most notably, the school is about 70% done with the funding goal for the permanent indoor performance center being built for all UC sports on the site of the old Sheakley Athletic Center/bubble.
