CINCINNATI — The Big 12 arrival Cincinnati Athletics is just a few months away, spurring more action into the NIL movement around Cincy Reigns.

Athletics director John Cunningham spoke with the media on Tuesday alongside Cincy Reigns chair Brian Fox to announce the "Let's Reign" campaign.

The NIL collective is calling for 7,000 donors to donate $350 each to the collective by July 1, 2023, the first day UC enters the Big 12.

"It's never about specific conversations, but if you can show that you have great structure, that's important right now," Cunningham said about NIL's importance during individual recruiting battles over the last two years.

The school is methodically attacking this and appears ready to lead the Big 12 in terms of innovative NIL approaches. It's a crucial factor when trying to land the best players nationally in all sports.

Here is the full list of Cincy Reigns' "First Class" of NIL athletes:

  • Abby Walker (volleyball)
  • Jillian Hayes (women’s basketball)
  • Rylee Penn (women’s track and field/cross country)
  • Brooke Patterson (women’s golf)
  • Camryn Callaghan (women’s lacrosse)
  • Ashley Barron (women’s soccer)
  • Joleigh Crye (women’s swimming and diving)
  • Elizabeth Pendergast (women’s tennis)
  • Griffin Hugus (baseball)
  • Dontay Corleone (football)
  • Ty Gingerich (men’s golf)
  • Dan Skillings Jr. (men’s basketball)
  • Hunter Gubeno (men’s swimming and diving)
  • Korbin Spencer (men’s track and field/cross country)

The 14 athletes "will provide marketing support and make event appearances on behalf of the collective," per Cincy Reigns press release.
