Amari Jefferson is a dude. The 6-foot-1 athlete out of Chattanooga, Tennessee is a star both on the gridiron and the baseball diamond. A 4-star receiver per 247's Composite Rankings, Jefferson has really seen his football recruitment pick up recently. On Tuesday, he dropped his top 12 schools.

In a tweet from On3.com's Hayes Fawcett, Jefferson named Clemson, along with Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Florida State, Oregon, and Colorado.

A couple of notes here. Number one: Jefferson is already committed to Tennessee to play baseball. Perfect Game has Jefferson rated as a 9/10 prospect (Potential top 10 round pick and/or highest level college prospect - via Perfect Game). Tennessee has one of the best baseball programs in the country. Combine that with his rating, and it seems likely Jefferson sticks with his commitment. Number two: Clemson has not offered him a scholarship per 247Sports

In 2022, Jefferson helped his Baylor Red Raiders take home the Division-II AAA State Title for the first time since 1973. In the title game against undefeated Montgomery Bell Academy, Amari Jefferson had scores of 48 and 46 yards. In baseball, Jefferson is averaging .259 at the plate through 9 games and has hit a home run.
