Clemson commit Sammy Brown had a big season debut for Jefferson
Sammy Brown is the crown jewel of Clemson's 2024 recruiting class. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker committed to Clemson back in June. He's rated as the no. 1 linebacker in America by 247Sports and is a consensus 5 Star.
Brown began his senior season on Friday night and helped lead his Jefferson (GA) Dragons to a 34-24 win over Alpharetta. Brown played both ways for the Dragons, racking up 8 tackles on defense and scorching Alpharetta on the ground to the tune of 90 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Clemson fans in the South Carolina area will get a chance to see Brown up close when Jefferson heads to Piedmont to take on Wren this Friday (8/25).
"It's another really strong relationship. Coach [Wes] Goodwin and Coach [Dabo] Sweeney have been there... I mean, even before I got the offer, it's just been a really strong relationship with them. They've got a really good culture, and they've always been historically good on defense." - Sammy Brown on his relationship with Clemson's staff
