Live Updates: No. 20 North Carolina at Clemson
It's Senior Day for a group of Tigers that have been through an incredible journey. Underclassmen during the 2020 Covid shortened season, there are multiple Tigers who have played significant roles for Clemson over four or five years who will take their last snaps at Memorial Stadium today. It could also be the last time juniors like Nate Wiggins, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., and Barrett Carter play in front of their home crowd as NFL decisions loom.
Pregame: Among the multiple players out for Clemson, the school confirmed that CB Jeadyn Lukus and S Jalyn Phillips will miss today's matchup. Clemson's defense will once again rely on young secondary players as Drake Maye and Tez Walker come to town.
First Quarter
- A 24-yard Drake Maye completion moves North Carolina into Clemson territory.
- Maye finds Tez Walker on 4th down for a huge gain inside the Clemson 5.
- North Carolina fumbles, recovered by TJ Parker. Clemson ball.
- Cade Klubnik misses on his first two attempts. Tigers are forced to punt.
- Clemson's defense forces a three and out.
- Clemson takes over a their two.
- Troy Stellato exits the game with an upper body injury.
- Cade Klubnik picks up 22 yards on third down.
- Will Shipley picks up a first down.
- Will Shipley moves the ball past the 50.
- Clemson calls their first timeout on 4th and 1. 5:59
- A fake punt fails. North Carolina ball at the Clemson 45.
- UNC moves the ball inside the Clemson 35.
- Maye buys some time and finds JJ Jones for a 33-yard score. North Carolina 7 - Clemson 0 4:31

- Hampton busts a long run, but Nate Wiggins forces him to fumble into the endzone. Clemson ball at the 20
- Adam Randall makes a man miss and takes the ball out to the North Carolina 40.
Second Quarter
- Klubnik has guided Clemson to the UNC 25.
- Stellato back in the game, picks up a first down inside the 15
- Cade Klubnik picks up a first down inside of the 5
- Klubnik finds Briningstool for a touchdown. North Carolina 7 - Clemson 7 10:10
- After giving up a couple of first downs, Clemson's defense forces a punt
- The Tigers are forced to punt after another three and out
- Clemson stuffs North Carolina on 4th down. Clemson ball at the 45
- Clemson can't get anything going, forced to punt again.
- A pass interference penalty moves UNC out past the 20
- The defense stands tall again, forcing a punt.
- Clemson drives down to the 10, but a Will Shipley fumble gives the ball back to UNC.
- TJ Parker sacks Drake Maye.
- Jeremiah Trotter Jr. sacks Drake Maye on third down, forcing a punt.
- Klubnik completed three consecutive passes, moving Clemson down to the 27.
- Klubnik lofts a ball into the endzone that is intercepted but UNC is flagged for roughing the passer.
- Cade Klubnik scrambles and finds the end zone. North Carolina 7 - Clemson 14 :03
Third Quarter
- Clemson goes three and out to start the second half.
- Drake Maye busts a couple of big plays, moving North Carolina over the 50
- Khalil Barnes sacks Drake Maye giving Clemson the ball back.
- Cade Klubnik finds Adam Randall for a big gain into UNC territory
- Tyler Brown takes the ball inside of the 20
- Phil Mafah punches it in from 4 yards out on 4th down. North Carolina 7 - Clemson 21 7:15
- Omarion Hampton busts a 55-yard touchdown. North Carolina 14 - Clemson 21 6:20
- Will Shipley rips off a 31-yard run into UNC territory.
- Clemson picks up first down on a fourth down conversion to the UNC 30

- Drake Maye rips off a 25-yard run out to the 50
- After a couple of false starts, Clemson forces a punt. They take over inside of their 10
- Will Shipley picks up 15 on third down. First down for Clemson at their 30
Fourth Quarter
- Klubik finds Will Shipley for a 40-yard gain down to the 9.
- Jonathan Weitz hits a 21-yard field goal. North Carolina 14 - Clemson 31 10:33
- An incredible shovel pass from Drake Maye moves UNC inside the Clemson 15
- Hampton punches it in from three yards out. 2-point attempt is no good. North Carolina 20 - Clemson 31 7:03
- Clemson can't get anything going. The Tigers are forced to punt.
- Drake Maye is sacked by Ruke Orhorhoro.
- UNC is flagged for facemask
- After a false start, UNC is forced into 4th and 20
- Clemson takes over at the 20 with 4:17
- Weitz misses a 41-yard attempt.
- Nate Wiggins intercepts Drake Maye.
