Live Updates: No. 24 Clemson at South Carolina; Clemson downs South Carolina

No. 24 Clemson (7-4, 4-4 ACC) heads to Columbia to take on South Carolina (5-6, 3-5 SEC) in a primetime matchup.

No. 24 Clemson and South Carolina will do battle at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The Tigers are looking to avenge last season's loss to the Gamecocks, while South Carolina is searching for bowl eligibility.

Pregame 

• Clemson will be without wide receiver Antonio Williams and safety Jalyn Phillips for tonight's game. Williamms has been dealing with a toe injury. The team has not disclosed the nature of Phillips' ailment. 
• Clemson will be wearing orange helmets, white jerseys, and orange pants. South Carolina will wear black helmets, garnet jerseys, and garnet pants.

• Clemson can't take advantage as Klubnik is sacked on third down. The Tigers punt the ball away.

• Spencer Rattler comes up big, scrambling for a first down near midfield.
• The ball was actually spotted a yard short. South Carolina picks it up on fourth down.
• Clemson's defense stands tall, forcing a punt. The Tiger take over at their 12.
• Will Shipley picks up a first down out to the 21.
• Shipley moves Clemson out to their 36.
• Clemson's drive stalls and the Tigers punt the ball away.
• The Tigers send South Carolina backward, forcing a three-and-out. Clemson takes over at the Gamecocks' 45.
• Will Shipley takes a screen for a big gain down to the 32.

Halftime Report

Third Quarter

• Cade Klubnik finds Tyler Brown on a bomb deep into South Carolina territory.
• The drive stalls, but Weitz hits a 42-yard field goal. Clemson 16 - South Carolina 7 13:16
• Xavier Thomas comes up with a big third-down sack as Clemson forces a punt.
• A couple of big Phil Mafah runs have Clemson threatening. 
• Klubnik is intercepted in the endzone.
• Khalil Barnes comes up big on third down, breaking up a pass and forcing another South Carolina punt.
• Clemson picks up a couple of first downs on the ground, nearing midfield.
• Troy Stellato can't hold on to a pass on third down. Clemson is forced to punt.

Fourth Quarter

• Clemson's defense, which has yet to give up 100 total yards - forces another punt.
• Clemson is pushed back deep in their territory, but Will Shipley busts a big run out to the 24.
• The drive stalls out and the Tigers have to punt.
• The defense comes up big again, stuffing South Carolina on fourth down with just over three minutes to go.
• Phil Mafah bulls his way for a first down.
• South Carolina takes a timeout with 1:39 to go. The Gamecocks have just one timeout left.
• The Gamecocks use their final timeout. 1:40 to go. Officials put more time back on the clock.
• Will Shipley ices the game with a big first down.
