Deion Sanders takes off walking boot ahead of TCU opener
Deion Sanders is finally starting to inch towards the second half of recovery.
The Colorado Buffaloes head football coach, who withstood a couple of surgeries on his left foot this summer, has ditched a walking boot and plans on leading the team out of the tunnel in Fort Worth on Saturday.
Sanders, 56, has been bothered by pain in his lower extremities since his coaching days at Jackson State in 2021. He developed blood clots in his left leg and eventually had to have two toes amputated as a result. The latest surgery for Coach Prime helped to straighten out his toes, which has been successful thus far given the fact that he's finding comfort in wearing shoes again.
