WATCH: Deion Sanders dancing with 98-year-old Colorado mega fan Peggy Coppom is gold

Coach Prime still has a few moves

Coach Prime might be gearing up for his FBS debut at Colorado, but he took time to dance with Buffaloes lifelong fan Peggy Coppom at CU's kickoff luncheon on Friday.

The 98-year-old mega fan, who made an appearance at CU's Spring Game, was on hand for the festivities to end Fall Camp. She took it all in while getting to step with the Hall-of-Famer. It was an enjoyable moment to watch knowing how tough the past few years have been for both Sanders and Coppom.

Deion Sanders not likely to "high-step or dance" ever again, but preparing to run behind Ralphie

We've all watched Coach Prime's health struggles play out somewhat publicly over the past several months, including his time at Jackson State. Despite all the hardships, he's focused and ready to start the 2023 football season for the Buffs.

Coppom has been attending football games since her family moved from the high plains of eastern Colorado to Boulder to escape the Dust Bowl in 1939. She's one half of the famed CU twins. Peggy's late sister, Betty Hoover, passed away in 2020. She has missed only a few home games since buying season tickets in 1966.

Colorado opens the season on the road in Fort Worth against 17th-ranked TCU on Sept. 2.
