The AP voters only needed a week to decide that the Colorado Buffaloes were worthy of being ranked, entering the poll at No. 22. After an upset win over TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday, Colorado returns home to face Nebraska.

This is the first time Colorado has been ranked this early in the season since 2002. They haven't finished a season among the Top 25 in seven years.

Coach Prime's Buffaloes knocked off the Frogs in the most-anticipated game in college football's recent history. Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week Shedeur Sanders finished with 510 yards and four touchdowns. He became the only CU quarterback to throw for the half-century mark. It was also the best debut completion wise in school history.

Nobody expected Colorado to be ranked this early. They're joined by Duke at No. 21 as the biggest upsetters from college football's opening week. The Blue Devils handed Clemson a 28-7 loss on Monday night.

The Buffaloes welcome the Huskers into Boulder for a FOX Big Noon Saturday game of the week. It's the first-ever meeting of Sanders and Matt Rhule.
