Duke Basketball One-And-Done Out of NBA, Possibly Going Overseas
Jabari Parker, who went No. 2 overall at the 2014 NBA Draft following his prolific one-and-done Duke basketball campaign, has not played in the league since seeing minutes in only 12 games for the 2021-22 Boston Celtics. And he hasn't averaged double-digit points or over 15 minutes per game since two seasons before that.

Now, over a month into this summer's free agency and with no substantial reported interest from an NBA franchise in sight for Parker, the 28-year-old forward out of Chicago is reportedly eyeing an opportunity to play for FC Barcelona in the EuroLeague.
According to multiple reports, he passed a medical exam there this week.
There are plenty of success stories regarding Duke basketball players who turned pro after spending only one year in Durham. And Parker appeared on his way to becoming one early in his NBA career, maxing out at 20.1 points per game for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2016-17 before a long list of injuries led to his gradual decline.
It's worth noting that Jabari Parker, who appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a prep before becoming the USBWA National Freshman of the Year at Duke, initially planned to play for the Bucks at the Las Vegas Summer League last month.
However, he pulled out just days before the action began due to an undisclosed family matter.
