Although one could argue they deserve a tad more, senior guard and the featured trio of Duke basketball sophomores are getting respect nationally as they and the preseason No. 2 Blue Devils gear up for the program's second campaign under Jon Scheyer.

CBS Sports recently released its "Top 100 and 1 Players for 2023-24" ahead of next week's tipoff to the college hoops season. It includes four Blue Devils.

Duke basketball sophomore forward, reigning ACC Rookie of the Year, preseason All-American selection, and projected ACC Player of the Year Kyle Filipowski appears at No. 3. That's below the reigning national player of the year in Purdue senior center Zach Edey at No. 1 and fifth-year UNC big man Armando Bacot at No. 2.

Blue Devil sophomore guard and returning starter Tyrese Proctor pops up at No. 14.

Senior guard Jeremy Roach, a 2023-24 co-captain with Proctor and graduate center Ryan Young, comes in at No. 33 in the eyes of CBS Sports' panel of writers.

And Scheyer's fourth returning starter, sophomore forward Mark Mitchell, sits at No. 77.

None of the loaded squad's four five-star freshmen (Caleb Foster, Jared McCain, Sean Stewart, TJ Power) are on the list.
