In mid-August, NBA Academy Africa center Khaman Maluach received an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer. Three months later, it appears the 7-foot-2, 240-pound five-star remains near the center of the Blue Devils' recruiting radar.

On Friday, 247Sports' Travis Branham reported that Scheyer, whose 21st-ranked Duke basketball team doesn't play again until its showdown against No. 6 Baylor in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, was at IMG Academy (Fla.) to watch Maluach compete for his NBA Academy squad at the Sunshine Prep Showcase.

Maluach hails from South Sudan and ranks No. 10 overall among 2025 prospects, per On3. However, he lacks a composite ranking because he doesn't attend high school in the United States.

Thus far, the 17-year-old holds offers from only three programs: Duke, UCLA, and Georgetown.

He's one of nine Blue Devil targets in the 2025 arena.

The other eight are also five-star prospects who remain undecided in their recruitments: forward Cameron Boozer (No. 2 composite ranking), forward Caleb Wilson (No. 4), forward Koa Peat (No. 5), guard Meleek Thomas (No. 6), guard Jalen Haralson (No. 9), guard Cayden Boozer (No. 14), guard Brayden Burries (No. 17), and forward Nate Ament (No. 18).
