Duke basketball might soon land a visit from elite playmaker Meleek Thomas.

Lincoln Park (Pa.) point guard Meleek Thomas, who has said he grew up rooting for the Blue Devils, received a Duke basketball offer in April and included second-year head coach Jon Scheyer and his crew in his top 12 six weeks ago.

The other 11 remaining contenders are Auburn, Pitt, Villanova, Indiana, Miami, UConn, Tennessee, Michigan, Kentucky, Kansas State, and Kansas.

Per his recent chat with 247Sports' Brandon Jenkins, Thomas is considering official visits to Duke, Auburn, UConn, Kansas State, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, and others. And it sounds like the electric five-star junior, No. 6 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, is sincerely interested in checking out the Blue Devils.

"Their brand speaks for itself," Meleek Thomas told Jenkins about Duke while competing this past weekend at the USA Basketball Junior National Team Minicamp in Colorado, "and I have been watching them for a while. They are a feared team in the NCAA Tournament. They go by 'The Brotherhood.' They stick together, and the facilities look crazy.

"I want to see more. Their coaches are genuine. They hit me from time to time to let me know that I am welcome there. I would have to go see how their play style works, but I know they are one of the schools recruiting me that can help me get to my main goal."

Meleek Thomas, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound potential one-and-done lottery pick, informed Jenkins he has a decision timeline in mind and that it is "later rather than sooner."

He's one of nine 2025 recruits on the Duke basketball wishlist.
