Duke Basketball: Five-Star Sharpshooter Decides to Visit Blue Devils
Wisconsin Lutheran rising senior Kon Knueppel received an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer less than two weeks ago. Even so, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound five-star small forward has already made plans to check out the Blue Devils in person.

According to a tweet from Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook's Mark Miller on Wednesday afternoon, Knueppel will be in Durham for an official visit beginning Sept. 15.
Knueppel, who sits at No. 20 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite and boasts more than a dozen high-major offers, will take an official visit to Alabama one week before his trip to Duke, per Miller's tweet.
As a junior, the heralded sharpshooter and high-IQ talent visited Stanford, Notre Dame, and Virginia. Then he was in Louisville for an official visit with the Cardinals in June.
Although Kon Knueppel has yet to name finalists, he's recently indicated that he plans to soon. Considering the scheduled visit to Duke two months in advance, it's safe to say the Blue Devils should survive the cut.
The Duke basketball recruiters have already earned verbal commitments from a pair of sharpshooting 2024 wings in Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star small forward Darren Harris and North Meck (N.C.) five-star small forward Isaiah Evans.
But it looks as though Scheyer has eyes on more.
Scheyer's 2024 wishlist also includes St. Thomas More (Conn.) four-star small forward Tyler Betsey, who ranks No. 36 in the class. Like Knueppel, Betsey plans to visit the Blue Devils in mid-September. Zagsblog's Adam Zagoria reported last week that Betsey's visit begins on Sept. 16. So presumably, they will be at Duke simultaneously.
