Prediction Appears for Giant Duke Basketball Target Flory Bidunga
Kokomo (Ind.) five-star center Flory Bidunga, the top-ranked big man in the 2024 class, wrapped up his official visit to the Duke basketball program on Thursday. On the same day, Rivals' Alec Busse, an Indiana insider, entered a prediction into the site's FutureCast.
He pegs the Blue Devils as the frontrunner. And it's worth pointing out that Busse has correctly forecasted destinations for 13 of the 14 recruitments he has predicted.
Furthermore, Duke boasts the lone prediction for Bidunga at On3, which came from national recruiting insider Jamie Shaw on June 10 when news broke of the No. 4 overall prospect on the 247Sports 2024 Composite scheduling his trip to Durham.
Bidunga, who received an offer from the Blue Devils while on campus, has noted plans to take an official visit to Indiana in the coming weeks. But thus far, there's been no report of the Congo native locking in dates for that.

With a decision from Bidunga likely only about a month away, Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer traveled from the NBA Draft in Brooklyn to Indiana on Friday to watch the 6-foot-9, 220-pound phenom play in a tournament, per a tweet from 247Sports' Adam Rowe.
In other words, Scheyer seems to have Bidunga at the center of his radar.
That said, the following tweet from Recruits Zone reports that several other Flory Bidunga suitors will also attend the game.
Meanwhile, the Blue Devils remain in the running for four-star 2024 center Patrick Ngongba II, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound bruiser out of Paul VI Catholic (Va.). He was at Duke for an official visit earlier this month after receiving an offer from Scheyer in late May.

No insiders have entered a forecast for the Ngongba sweepstakes. However, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which also sees the Duke basketball recruiters as the leader for Flory Bidunga, now gives the Blue Devils a slight edge over UConn as the favorite for Ngongba with a 28.3 percent chance to prevail (48.8 percent for Bidunga).
As for the 247Sports Crystal Ball, it remains empty for both Ngongba and Bidunga.
Scheyer's 2024 haul currently consists of two commits in Paul VI Catholic four-star small forward Darren Harris, who has been on board with the Blue Devils since October, and North Meck (N.C.) five-star small forward Isaiah Evans, who announced his commitment in late April.
