Gators Fall Camp 2023: Participation Report Shake-Up on Day 8

Florida saw a handful of players added to its participation report in various capacities during Wednesday's fall training camp practice. But there was some good news to glean from the workout.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida moved inside the Indoor Practice Facility for day eight of fall training camp practice on Wednesday.

It was the second time the Gators were forced to condense to one field this fall, with the other being inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for Saturday's open practice.

Florida's participation was limited as a bevy of players previously operating at full contact sat out, worked off to the side or donned no-contact jerseys while working with their position group. However, the Gators did see an expected starter on the offensive line shed his black jersey for a white one on Wednesday, deeming him cleared for contact just 21 days away from the season opener.

Our notes from the practice can be found below.

  • Observed participating during individual drills while wearing a no-contact jersey: Freshman running back Treyaun Webb (unknown), sophomore wide receiver Caleb Douglas (unknown), junior tight end Jonathan Odom (knee), redshirt freshman tight end Arlis Boardingham (unknown), walk-on redshirt freshman Scott Isacks (unknown) and sophomore safety Miguel Mitchell (unknown).
  • Witnessed in a no-contact jersey, wearing pads and performing rehabilitative drills with a trainer was junior offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV (unknown), redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Kamryn Waites (Achilles), redshirt sophomore linebacker Scooby Williams (unknown), and walk-on freshman defensive lineman Andre Morris (unknown).
  • Notably, redshirt senior tight end Dante Zanders (unknown), sophomore linebacker Shemar James (knee), junior cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. (unknown) and freshman offensive tackle Caden Jones (unknown) were not dressed out for practice. Each player was seen working out in the weightlifting area attached to the indoor practice facility.
  • Redshirt senior offensive lineman Lyndell Hudson II (concussion) was also witnessed in the workout area in a no-contact jersey but without pads. He has been absent from practice since day two following a minor car accident.
  • Redshirt junior nickel corner Jaydon Hill (unknown) and sophomore cornerback Devin Moore (upper body) also were not observed in attendance.
  • For reference: Webb, Douglas, Isacks, Mitchell, Williams, Marshall, Jones and Hill were not on All Gators' day seven participation report.
