Elite WR Jeremiah Smith Highlights Florida Visitors List vs. Florida State

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Gators' regular-season finale against in-state rival Florida State Seminoles is set to be a star-studded event with former, current and future collegiate athletes lining the field and sidelines during the contest.
It marks another important recruiting weekend for Billy Napier and Co. as the Gators will play host to a bevy of 2024 prospects.
The nation's top pass catcher Jeremiah Smith highlights the list of prospective talent, uncommitted or committed elsewhere. The Ohio State pledge will make his eighth appearance at the University of Florida, according to 247Sports, as the Gators strive to pull off the improbable feat of winning over his commitment.
On the defensive side of the ball, uncommitted defensive back prospect Zavier Mincey, top flip targets Jameer Grimsley (Alabama) and Charles Lester III (Florida State), and safety target Jordan Pride are expected to stop into Gainesville for the Sunshine Showdown.
They're notably joined by longtime Texas A&M defensive line commit Dealyn Evans — a player the Gators have continued to pursue throughout the 2024 cycle.
Florida is also welcoming defensive lineman Brien Taylor Jr. Taylor is considered a hot commodity from the JUCO ranks, with offers from several powerhouse programs on the table. UF will look to sell the frontline defender in early playing time in an attempt to earn his pledge and reconcile its lackluster interior defensive line depth.
Talents committed to Florida include running backs Kahnen Daniels and Waltez Clark (2025), wide receivers Izaiah Williams and Tawaski "TJ" Abrams, tight end Amir Jackson, offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll, defensive ends LJ McCray and Kendall Jackson, linebackers Aaron Chiles, Myles Graham and Adarius Hayes, defensive back Teddy Foster, and safeties Xavier Filsaime and Josiah Davis.
