Baltimore Ravens Select FSU Football Star in CBS’s First Round NFL Mock Draft
Wide receiver Keon Coleman had a remarkable year at Florida State after transferring from Michigan State before the 2023 season. He led the team in receiving yards (658) and touchdowns (11). Given his production and acrobatic ability, it is no surprise that he is landing on multiple draft analysts' radar ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Former FSU Football Quarterback Meets With Steelers, Reveals Season-Ending Injury
CBS Sports' Josh Edwards recently released a mock draft detailing who and where he thinks prospects will land and has the 6'4'', 215-pound junior heading to Baltimore. Edwards projected Coleman to be selected late in the first-round by the Baltimore Ravens with the 30th pick.
"Odell Beckham Jr. is a free agent after the season and Rashod Bateman has not been reliable," the article stated. "Keon Coleman is a bigger-bodied target who can win down the field for Lamar Jackson. He should pair nicely with Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews."
The Ravens could be a good fit for Coleman and he would have an opportunity to catch passes from quarterback Lamar Jackson. Coleman is already a polished route runner so the learning curve could be a small one.
Coleman was a first-team All-ACC selection this past season as a wide receiver, all purpose player, and specialist. He was a dynamic punt returner averaging 12.6 yards per return on 24 attempts for 302 yards with a long of 72 yards.
The 2024 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 25 to April 27 with the first round beginning at 8 p.m.
