BREAKING: FSU Football Locks In Another Alabama Football Transfer
Florida State's rushing attack will be changing in 2024 with star Trey Benson transitioning to the NFL after two seasons in Tallahassee. The Seminoles have searched the NCAA Transfer Portal to add experience to the backfield and have found it in the form of a program that was interested in hiring head coach Mike Norvell.
On Saturday, former Alabama running back Roydell Williams became the fourth member of the Crimson Tide to transfer to FSU over the last couple of days. Redshirt senior wide receiver Malik Benson, redshirt sophomore cornerback Earl Little Jr., and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson II have previously joined forces with the Seminoles.
Williams recorded a career-high 111 carries for 560 yards with five touchdowns on the ground while catching 11 passes for 58 yards and another score at Alabama this past season. He stepped into the running back rotation after spending most of his time with the Crimson Tide as a backup. He scored three touchdowns in his final four appearances of the season while rushing 16 times for 64 yards and a score in Alabama's SEC Championship game victory against Georgia.

During his career at Alabama, Williams appeared in 45 games while rushing 234 times for 1,165 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 152 yards and two more scores. Williams recorded more rushing attempts this past season than the two previous years combined. He won a National Championship with the Crimson Tide during his first season with the program.
The 5-foot-10, 214-pound running back is ranked as the No. 76 overall transfer and the No. 7 RB in the portal, giving him a four-star distinction, according to 247Sports. He was regarded as the No. 77 prospect, the No. 9 RB, and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Alabama in the 2020 class.
Florida State adds Williams to a room that includes redshirt senior Lawrance Toafili, redshirt senior Caziah Holmes, junior Jaylin Lucas, redshirt freshman Samuel Singleton, true freshman Kam Davis, and true freshman Micahi Danzy.
Williams is the 12th transfer to join the Seminoles since December.
