Florida State At Clemson: Pre-Game Injury Updates For The Seminoles And Tigers
Kickoff is closing in for Florida State's second consecutive road game as the team prepares to take on the Clemson Tigers in Death Valley.
The Seminoles have come up short against the Tigers in seven straight meetings and haven't defeated them on the road since 2013. However, FSU comes into this matchup ranked No. 4 in the country following a 3-0 start while Clemson is breaking in a new full-time starting quarterback (Cade Klubnik) and offensive coordinator (Garrett Riley).

Ahead of the contest, there's plenty to keep an eye on for the Seminoles. Left tackle Robert Scott and center Maurice Smith have been unavailable for the last two games. Neither player traveled to Boston College while Smith was previously spotted with a boot on his foot during the home opener. Starting safety Akeem Dent has also been sidelined since being injured in the first half against Southern Miss.
Outside of that, there are plenty of players on Florida State's two-deep that are worth monitoring. Wide receiver Kentron Poitier, wide receiver Ja'Khi Douglas, cornerback Quindarrius Jones, safety KJ Kirkland, and defensive end Byron Turner Jr. were not seen prior to the victory against the Eagles. Linebacker Tatum Bethune, tight end Jaheim Bell, and quarterback Jordan Travis were among the players to get banged up during the course of the game.
NoleGameday will be keeping an eye on the players mentioned above and more to determine who is available to play on Saturday. Follow along below for updates before the Seminoles kick off against the Tigers.
— Jordan Travis is warming up for the matchup against Clemson. He doesn't appear to have any extra wraps or braces on his left shoulder. That may change prior to the game but he's throwing pretty fluidly during pregame.
— Byron Turner Jr. is going through early warmups and it seems like he will be back in the lineup today.
— Kentron Poitier and Ja'Khi Douglas appear to have not traveled for the second consecutive week. They are not warming up with the wide receivers.
— Akeem Dent is not working out with the defensive backs prior to the game. It seems like he won't be available today. True freshman cornerback Quindarrius Jones and true freshman safety KJ Kirkland are warming up.
— Tight end Jaheim Bell and linebacker Tatum Bethune look to be available after getting banged up last week. A good sign for the Seminoles.
— Starting center Maurice Smith is warming up with the rest of his position group. He's in full pads and appears to be ready to return to the lineup.
