Florida State Quarterback To Miss Extended Time Due To Recent Injury
Florida State has stayed relatively healthy early in the year following a physical contest against the LSU Tigers to open the 2023 season. However, the bumps and bruises have continued to pop up over the last two weeks as the Seminoles were without multiple starters and players on the two-deep against Southern Miss and Boston College.

That's led to at least one member of the roster who will be forced to miss extended time due to a recent injury. On Wednesday morning, head coach Mike Norvell announced that true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn would be sidelined for at least a few weeks after going down against Southern Miss during the home opener.
"He'll be out for a few weeks," Norvell said on Wednesday. "It had something in the first game but he'll be out for a few weeks and not available. We'll get him back here within the season and just continue to progress for him."
Glenn made his debut at Florida State during the fourth quarter, guiding the offense to a quick touchdown drive. On his first play from scrimmage, he scrambled for 34 yards to get the Seminoles deep into Golden Eagle territory. Two snaps later, redshirt junior Caziah Holmes capped off the possession with a 40-yard scoring run.
Redshirt freshman AJ Duffy replaced Glenn on the following drive. At the time, it was thought that the move was just to get all four scholarship quarterbacks playing time. Instead, it's become clear that the switch was made due to Glenn being injured on one of his three snaps.
This is disappointing news for Florida State as Glenn had been consistently pushing Duffy and backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker in practice. His presence added another competitor to the room that forced Rodemaker and Duffy to step up their respective performances.
Glenn signed with Florida State as a member of the 2023 class after flipping his commitment from Ohio State in November. He was regarded as the No. 21 QB and the No. 9 prospect in the state of Tennessee in his class according to 247Sports.
