WATCH: DJ Lundy Breaks The Rock After The Seminoles Survive In Chestnut Hill

Lundy had the opportunity to break the rock after a performance for the ages.

It wasn't pretty, to say the absolute least, but Florida State did enough in the end to survive Boston College on Saturday afternoon. The Seminoles built a 31-10 advantage late in the third quarter but the Eagles came storming back with a run of their own down the stretch.

Boston College even had the ball with a little over two minutes remaining but ultimately was forced to punt before FSU ran out the clock thanks to a facemask penalty.

This wasn't a good day for Florida State's defense as the unit surrendered 457 total yards of offense. The Eagles converted 8/19 third-down attempts and 4/5 fourth-down attempts, including multiple big plays while backed up into long-yardage situations.

One of the lone bright spots was the performance of redshirt junior linebacker DJ Lundy, who pulled off the first game by a Seminole with an interception and rushing touchdown since 1959. Want to know something that's even crazier? Lundy's sequence came in the span of just three plays.

Lundy recorded an athletic pick off a throw from Thomas Castellanos downfield on Boston College's first drive of the second half. On the ensuing possession, Jordan Travis and Jaheim Bell's connection brought the Seminoles within a gasp of the endzone.

Following a penalty on Boston College, Lundy punched it in from one-yard out to give the Seminoles a 31-10 advantage. It would be their final points of the afternoon behind Lundy's second career rushing touchdown. He also finished with four tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks.

This is the third rock that Florida State has broken this season. Wide receiver Keon Coleman earned the sledgehammer against LSU after scoring three touchdowns in his debut with the program. Trey Benson joined him the following week after recording a hat-trick of his own.
