FSU Quarterback Jordan Travis Confident In Seminoles Ahead Of Battle With Clemson

"Every week, I want to go out and dominate the game."

Quarterback and Heisman candidate Jordan Travis has had an incredible run in Tallahassee. After starting his final year as a Seminole 3-0, there is a little more on the line as the No. 4 Florida State Seminoles head to Clemson, South Carolina, to take on the Tigers.

FSU went through a scare last Saturday in a close win over Boston College to kick off conference play. Travis threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, but the team overall stalled in the second half, ending in a 31-29 score. It is apparent everyone on the team wants more, and after some reflection, the need for improvement is paramount.

"Every aspect. Just consistency in everything," Travis said on what needs to change. "Throws, catching the ball, no mistakes, no missed assignments, just things like that."

Another scare from a week ago happened when Travis had to leave the game after awkwardly landing on his nonthrowing arm. The veteran quarterback said he feels fine and is ready to go.

"I feel really good. Really good. I can't wait to get out there Saturday."

The matchup in Death Valley will have an intense atmosphere, and Tiger fans will be in full force, expecting a battle. Memorial Stadium is notoriously loud, and Clemson has been a national championship contender for nearly a decade, but the focus for Travis has always been on himself and his team.

"They're a great team, obviously. They have athletes across the field. The D-line is really good, the backers are really good, the DBs are really good- a bunch of athletes that are fast. Once again, it doesn't matter about them. Their scheme is good, their coaches are good, but we know what we have on our side of the ball, and that is all that matters."

Travis goes in-depth into the Boston College game, the Clemson defense, and more in his full interview below.
