Florida State Quarterbacks Making Strides in Fall Camp
The Florida State Seminoles wrapped up day six of fall camp on Wednesday before they go on the road to Jacksonville for their annual two-day workouts at UNF. Throughout the first week, the offense has had its up-and-down moments but continues to improve in response to what one of the top returning defenses in the country has been throwing at them.

FSU quarterbacks Tony Tokarz met with the media after practice to give an update on how his room is progressing and what is in store for the 2023 season.
"It's fun watching those guys come along. having the summer is huge for us just being able to spend time with rhythm, timing, execution checks, all that stuff right now." Tokarz said. "Once you put the pads on it's always a little bit different but right now we're all getting up to speed everything is coming together and we just gotta keep getting better every day."
There is a new face under center as freshman Brock Green, a former four-star recruit out of Memphis, Tennessee, is getting into the mix. He enrolled early at Florida State so he was able to go through spring camp and Tokarz said that he's getting more comfortable in the offense.
"First off starting with the summer for him, he got to kinda repeat install and gain more comfort in that. You can see it, he's a lot more comfortable out there going out there and just operating the offense."
Lead signal caller Jordan Travis is entering his sixth year in college and will be on Heisman ballots if the Seminoles' season heads in the direction experts are predicting. It seems his mindset won't allow him to regress and Tokarz emphasized his competitive nature.
"I think with Jordan, he's a super competitive guy that wants to be the best version of himself. So just continue to keep that foot on the gas and come out here executing on a high level on a consistent basis. That's not just making throws that's getting us into the right looks, getting us into the right play."
The questions behind Travis are redshirt freshman quarterback AJ Duffy and redshirt junior quarterback Tate Rodemaker. Tokarz mentioned that Duffy has had a good start to camp while also nothing Rodemaker's preparation to go in the game at a moment's notice.
"These last two practices are two of the better practices that AJ has had. Yesterday was probably his best. Just continuing to come along and apply the meeting room to the feel. He's a guy that as he continues to get the reps under his belt just like a lot of the other guys he's going to continue to come along."
Led by Travis and a plethora of weapons at his disposal, the Seminoles continue to charge into the offseason for what could be a year for the record books.
Tokarz goes over when he thought Travis could be a Heisman candidate, the backup quarterback situation, and more in his full interview below.
