Florida State Seminoles Open As Massive Road Favorite In ACC Opener Against Boston College
It's only been two games but Florida State has outscored the opposition 3-1 (111-37) to begin the 2023 season. That's not easy to do, especially when your first opponent of the season is a top-5 team in a neutral venue. The Seminoles are expected to roll yet again in their ACC opener against Boston College.

On Sunday afternoon, opening odds were released for Week 2 games around college football. According to Circa Sports, Florida State opens as a 25-point road favorite against the Eagles. The Over/Under is set at 54.5 points, predicting a significant victory for the Seminoles.
The Seminoles dominated the Eagles in 2022, building a 31-0 halftime lead en route to a 44-14 victory. Boston College was limited to just 95 yards on the ground, averaging 2.8 yards per carry. FSU quarterback Jordan Travis passed for a then-career-high 321 yards and one touchdown in the beatdown.
The contest might not go much better for BC on Saturday, despite Florida State having to travel north. The Eagles sit at 1-1 following an upset loss in overtime to Northern Illinois and barely surviving FCS Holy Cross this past weekend. Boston College has started two quarterbacks (Thomas Castellanos, and Emmett Morehead) in the first two weeks. Castellanos will likely get the nod to begin the game against the Seminoles.
The main thing to watch leading up to the contest is the health of the Seminoles and the potential inclement weather brought on by the approaching Hurricane Lee.
Florida State and Boston College will kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.
