FSU Debuts New LED Lights in Doak Campbell Stadium in Home Opener
The Florida State Seminoles have officially kicked off the first home game of the season against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, and fans have noticed one major change to the stadium, and it has nothing to do with the level of play on the field.
The new LED light system was installed in mid-August and was hinted at to fans by FSU Athletic Director and Vice President Michael Alford on social media.

The new lighting system has dimming, strobe, and color-changing features which will create a spectacle for fans in pregame shows, and the national anthem, as well after Seminole touchdowns.
Fans first saw the major upgrade prior to kickoff in the national anthem, as the field was covered in red, white, and blue. They've gotten plenty of looks at the touchdown celebration throughout the night as well.
The most recent upgrade to the stadium comes at a great time for FSU as the program's AP ranking of fourth in the nation is the highest ranking the team has held in six years
The 'Noles are on the climb to the top as they are 1-0 and are in playoff contention on the ten-year anniversary of the 2013 team and the 30th anniversary of the 1993 'Noles.
Florida State will travel to Chesnutt Hill, Massachusetts next week to kick off ACC play against the Boston College Eagles.
