Many moving parts are happening right now in the FSU roster. With Early Signing Day, the opening of the NCAA Transfer Portal, and the 2024 NFL Draft, players are leaving and joining, while some are still up in the air on whether or not they will be wearing garnet and gold next season.

Former Florida State running back CJ Campbell entered the transfer portal when it opened again on December 4 after starting his career on the scout team as a walk-on.

Spending most of his time in a reserve role, Campbell played in 10 games in 2023, including his first start in Florida State's win over Louisville in the ACC Championship. He finished the season with seven carries for 117 yards, highlighted by a massive 70-yard touchdown run in the home finale against North Alabama.

In 2022, Campbell was expected to miss the season with a leg injury but made a remarkable recovery and played in FSU's final six games, rushing 18 times for 64 yards and two scores.

There will be a lot of new faces in the running back room next season, as running back Trey Benson declared earlier this month for the NFL Draft. Running back Rodney Hill officially appeared on the portal on December 15. Four-star running back Kam Davis and four-star running back Micahi Danzy signed with the 'Noles as a part of Tribe24.

Campbell will join former Florida State offensive tackle Daughtry Richardson at FAU, who announced his commitment there earlier this month.
