FSU HC Mike Norvell Claims Jordan Travis is Among 'Best Players in All of Football'
When a program wants to make a run for the College Football Playoffs, an elite quarterback is needed. The Florida State Seminoles seem to have just that as they're 9-0 on the season and they've clinched a spot in the ACC conference championship game.
Florida State's starting quarterback Jordan Travis seems to be on his way to leading his squad to the playoffs. Seminoles' head coach Mike Norvell shared some praise for Travis during his weekly press conference.
"Yeah, I mean, I think he showed himself as one of the best players in all of football," Norvell said at his presser.
According to FanDuel, Travis is tied for the third-best odds (+800) to win the Heisman trophy. This is the level of respect Travis is getting across the college football landscape. He's truly regarded as one of the best college football quarterbacks right now.

"He's so good at making the ten other guys out there on the field around him better. We've got really good players around him, so it's a good combination," Norvell continued.
Over the past couple of seasons, Travis has truly proven himself as a dual-threat quarterback. Accompany that with Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman, and Jaheim Bell, among others, and Travis has the weapons needed to make a deep run this season and solidify himself as one of the top playmakers in college football.
"If anybody comes into wanting to know more about our quarterback, you go and watch these last two weeks, and you see what he is," Norvell said. "That's why he's being mentioned for the greatest award that you can have in college football. Deservingly so."
On the season, Travis has thrown for 2,469 yards while completing 64 percent of his passes. He's thrown for 19 touchdowns in the air and has only been intercepted two times. Travis also has seven rushing touchdowns, getting his total touchdown tally to 26 this year.
With a perfect record and the counting stats to back it up, Travis is in a great position to finish this season as one of the top quarterbacks in the sport, and a trip to New York as a Heisman finalist will solidify that.
