FSU Veteran Defensive Back to Remain with 'The Battle's End' for Another Season

The twitchy DB is heading into his redshirt senior season at Florida State.

Florida State Name Image and Likeness (NIL) collective "The Battle's End" announced on Wednesday that it will continue its relationship with defensive back Greedy Vance, Jr. for the 2024 season. The redshirt senior is coming off a productive year, finishing with 18 tackles and an interception, helping the 'Noles to a 13-1 record and an ACC Championship.

Vance transferred from Louisville before the 2022 season and spent two years in Tallahassee. He finished 2023 with an overall defensive grade of 71.8 per Pro Football Focus (PFF). His best performance (90.5) came during Florida State's 41-3 win over Syracuse.

Thrilled to announce another year with @iam_jvxiiii! Excited to work with this young man again in 2024!

#ReadytoRespond

The 5'11'', 170-pound defensive back out of Edna Karr High School has played 27 games during his two seasons in Tallahassee. He's had 34 total tackles, nine pass breakups, and four interceptions, leading the team in takeaways in 2022 with three.

Florida State will be losing players like defensive backs Jarrian Jones and Renardo Green and will need a veteran presence like Vance to help lead the freshmen haul of #Tribe24.

Joining him are transfers OL Grady Kelly, RB Roydell Williams, and WR Malik Benson, alongside redshirt freshman OL Lucas Simmons. True freshmen WR BJ Gibson and QB Luke Kromenhoek also signed with the TBE in February.
