Joe Exotic Threatens Legal Action FSU QB Jordan Travis In Bizarre 'Tiger King' Call-Out

Who holds claim as the rightful 'Tiger King'?

The Florida State Seminoles find themselves 4-0 as the fifth-ranked team in the nation after a 31-24 overtime win over Clemson in Death Valley. With the win, the 'Noles snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Tigers for the first FSU win since 2014.

In the game, quarterback Jordan Travis overtook Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke for the most touchdowns in program history with his 82nd career touchdown, as he threw the game-winning scoring pass to Keon Coleman in overtime.

As the 'Noles slayed their second Tiger team on the schedule this season, previously defeating LSU in a statement 45-24 win to start the season, many Florida State fans are calling Travis the “Tiger King” after the popular 2020 Netflix documentary which starred animal trainer and zookeeper Joe Exotic.

Travis and his marketing team seemed to take advantage of the moniker after FSU's victory against Clemson. Shortly after the win, a shirt depicting Travis sitting on a throne with a crown on his head in front of Tigers in Clemson and LSU colors. Dubbed 'Jordan Travis College King 2.0', it's priced at $31.24, a nod to the final score of the game.

Exotic, who claims to own the trademark to the name and used it to advertise his profession as an exotic animal trainer, took to social media to voice his displeasure with Travis using the name for himself. As a reminder, he was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2019 on federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder-for-hire.

"Jordan Travis was 6 years old when I became The Tiger King, it is my trademark, my intellectual property and I'm sick of others cashing in on my Trademark just because President Biden cares nothing about me being wrongfully in prison in America."

"I will give ANY ATTORNEY 80% of a settlement to sue Jordan Travis and ALL companies selling stuff using Tiger King. Time quarterbacks and anyone else in this country stops stealing from others, which attorney would like to take this multimillion dollar case? DM me!"

"President Trump, you see the s--t your swamp did to my life with the corrupt DOJ you ran? The evidence is there they all admit to perjury and a plot to kill me and they all walk free. Biden should make this right and gain support and FREE JOE EXOTIC. Until Jordan Travis walks in a cage with 20 full grown tigers and kisses them on the head, leave the Tiger King business to me."

In the post, Exotic offers 80% of a possible settlement if they sue Travis and anyone else who intends to profit off of his Tiger King name.

Additionally, Exotic used the post to voice his displeasure with the current and previous presidential administrations for allowing him to be in prison, as he claims his innocence. Exotic ends his statement by attacking Travis again and arguing he has done nothing to claim the title of Tiger King.

"Until Jordan Travis walks in a cage with 20 full grown tigers and kisses them on the head, leave the Tiger King business to me," Exotic wrote.

As Travis went down in the history books against the Tigers, the Heisman hopeful goes into the bye week with 1,028 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns and one interception, along with 93 rushing yards on 23 carries for two rushing touchdowns.
