Jordan Travis Believes There Is Still More for Florida State Offense

"I feel like every drive, I wanna score."

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis has the Seminoles undefeated ranked No. 4 in the country and on a 12-game winning streak dating back to a season ago. It is safe to say that the sixth-year senior has come a long way from being undervalued when he transferred to FSU in 2018.

Surrounded by a cast of stars on offense, the 'Noles have put up 30 or more points in the last 12 games, and with so many players who can score on a given notice, you would think it would be hard to decide who the ball goes to.

"If a guy gets 15 targets a game and the next game he gets one, that's where the ball takes me," Travis said to the media after Wednesday's practice. "The receivers know; they're just a bunch of selfless guys."

With players like leading wide receiver Keon Coleman who has 418 yards and seven touchdowns this season, and Johnny Wilson with 357 yards and two scores roaming the field Travis can only dictate so much on a given week.

"I would love to spread the ball around to every single body. Sometimes the game plan doesn't call for that, and the guys understand that," Travis said. "That's my favorite thing about this football team. The receivers that we have, because all they want to do is win, and when you have guys like that, a team is going to be successful."

Even with one of the most explosive offenses in the country, there have been lulls during games this season where the offense just seems to turn off. Travis, and many other players along with coaches, believe that they have yet to play to the best of their ability.

"We have not reached even close to our potential yet, which is crazy. We have not had even close to our best game," Travis said. "Once we put everything together, I mean, who knows who can stop us? I don't think there's many teams that could stop us. We have talent across the field. We just got to click on all cylinders, and it starts in practice."

The Seminoles are slated to take on No. 16 Duke this weekend in what some say will be the biggest home matchup of the season. Florida State has never lost to the Blue Devils in the 21 games they've played but 5-1 Duke still will present a hefty challenge to the 'Noles.
