Mike Norvell Comments On FSU Football's Addition Of Blue-Chip Defensive End

Norvell is excited for the Seminoles to add Amaree Williams a year earlier than once expected.

Florida State has added defensive lineman Amaree Williams from The Benjamin School to its #Tribe24 signing class, head coach Mike Norvell announced Friday.

Four-star prospect…reclassified into Class of 2024 in November…ranked as No. 8 athlete prospect in America and No. 22 prospect from Florida by 247Sports…two-way player for The Benjamin School…recorded 34 tackles, 8.0 for loss with 4.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception while adding 16 receptions for 424 yards and seven touchdowns on playoff team in 2023…made varsity debut as sophomore in 2022 and made 40 tackles, 15.0 for loss with 15.0 sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble to help Buccaneers reach 1M state playoffs…also competed in track and field at The Benjamin School…member of third-place 4x100-meter relay team and finished fifth in high jump at 2023 1A state championship meet.
