NFL Mock Draft: Two FSU Football Stars Land in Top 15 Picks
The Florida State Seminoles are gearing up for what has the potential to be an incredible season. With aspirations to win the ACC Championship or make the College Football Playoffs, the Seminoles are littered with NFL talent, as any team playing at this level is.
In a recent mock draft from Pro Football Network, both Jared Verse and Jordan Travis were selected to land in the top 15 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. Both players could have jumped ship last season after the Seminoles had a positive season, but each star returned to school with unfinished business.
Verse, who has been projected to land high in most mock drafts, lands at pick No. 6. His dominant force is too much to pass up early in the draft, and Verse will be able to transform a defense early on in his NFL career.

"Verse has tremendous speed and the contact balance to destroy angles that big, bulky blockers cannot take," Pro Football Network writes. "The Falcons still must rue the day they passed on Micah Parsons, but Verse can be the face of their defense instead."
Joining a rebuilding team could be a great opportunity for Verse to not only transform and be the face of a defense, but be a part of a team that has the potential to take jumps early in his career.
Similarly, Travis, in this case, joins a team in dire need of a franchise quarterback. This mock sends Travis to the Las Vegas Raiders at pick No. 15.
"Starting in Week 8 of 2022, Travis was the best quarterback in the nation. He’s a unique playmaker who is incredibly dangerous outside of the pocket," Pro Football Network writes. "His strong arm, underrated mental processing ability, and accuracy all looked much improved as he gained confidence last season."
Travis is a dual-threat quarterback, and his style of play has a high ceiling at the NFL level. If he can continue refining his passing game and has the right tools around him, being picked in the first round could very well pay off for a team as he continues to show the ability to improve each year.
