Report: Florida State Expected To Be Without Three Starters Against Boston College
Florida State is only a couple of hours away from kicking off its ACC slate against Boston College in Chestnut Hill. Thankfully, the impact of Hurricane Lee has been less severe in the area than originally anticipated so far. The Seminoles should only have to deal with light rain and wind against the Eagles.

With that being said, the team might find itself shorthanded on Saturday afternoon during its first true road game of the season. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Florida State is expected to be without three starters at Boston College.
Left tackle Robert Scott and center Maurice Smith will miss their second consecutive contest. Smith was spotted with a boot on his foot prior to the contest against Southern Miss last week while Scott didn't end up joining the team in pregame or on the sideline. That means Darius Washington will likely start at center and Bless Harris will likely continue to hold down the left tackle spot if this news stands.
The Seminoles will also be missing at least one player on the defensive side of the ball. Redshirt senior safety Akeem Dent was injured during the first half last week and ended up being escorted to the locker room. Dent returned to the sidelines in street clothes with a wrap on his left knee. It wouldn't be a surprise to see true freshman Conrad Hussey get a boost in snaps with the veteran potentially out of the lineup.
Head coach Mike Norvell didn't provide a specific injury update on any players during his press conference on Tuesday or Wednesday. Outside of the three Seminoles mentioned above, wide receiver Kentron Poitier and wide receiver Ja'Khi Douglas were among the members of the roster that didn't suit up last week.
Florida State and Boston College are scheduled to kick off at 12:00 p.m. on ABC.
