Report: School Shooting Postpones ACC Presidents Meeting On Conference Realignment
An ACC Presidents' meeting has been postponed after an apparent shooting at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill caused a campus lockdown, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. It was reported that police have given the all-clear to resume campus activities hours after the incident but it is unclear when the meeting is set to resume.

Before the incident, 15 university presidents whose institutions comprise the ACC were expected to meet to discuss and potentially decide on adding Stanford, SMU, and Cal to the conference.
A report was released earlier today by Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger detailing what it would mean financially for the conference as they meet for a second time over the matter.
Under the projected model, adding the three teams would add an estimated $72 million annually for the ACC to divvy up amongst its 18 respective programs.
There would have to be a total of 12 out of 15 schools to vote 'yes' for the decision to pass, and in the last meeting to discuss the matter, Florida State, North Carolina, Clemson, Notre Dame, and NC State were against the idea. The Fighting Irish have since flipped sides, so the ACC only needs one more program to change its stance.
Per the report, Stanford and Cal offered to opt out of revenue distribution for multiple years if they were voted in to join the ACC. The schools have agreed to start at 30% of distribution, and SMU will forgo at least seven years and could extend the deficit up to nine.
The ACC has adopted a new incentive model for universities that will reward athletic success and give a higher payout to those drawing in the largest revenue. More importantly, the cash cow of the NCAA, football, will drive most of the money being earned.
