WATCH: Former Five-Star Recruit Makes Dazzling Catch During FSU's Practice
Florida State has a plethora of players who are participating in their first preseason camp with the program this fall. With that being said, the newcomers in Tribe23 have consistently asserted themselves throughout practice and look to be additions that will pay off for the Seminoles in the future.

There might not be a true freshman on the roster with more potential than former five-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams. The top-rated signee in Florida State's 2023 class, Williams has begun to find his footing more consistently in camp as of late.
Thursday and Friday were two of the Florida native's best practices since arriving in Tallahassee in January. He's in remarkably better shape and slowly appears to be unlocking the skill set that made him a national recruit.
Head coach Mike Norvell said that he's seen Williams begin to grow up, particularly over the last week. Consistency will be key in pushing him to reach his vast ceiling.
"He's growing up. I still want the consistency. Even today, he had two or three really good plays but a couple of plays early have to be better," Norvell said on Friday. "We know we've got a talented young man and he's a wonderful young man but it's the consistency of the push when you get tired, it's the consistency of the details, finishing plays. I really like what I've seen, especially this week. I think he's grown up a little bit but there's still some steps that need to be taken but we're definitely heading in the right direction."
Williams' talents were on full display during a wild catch he made on Friday in 1-on-1's. He beat fellow true freshman Quindarrius Jones off the line of scrimmage and faked a move inside before turning to the sideline and making a remarkable snag on a pass that was thrown low. Williams secured the ball and appeared to get two feet in before going out of bounds.
