Former Florida State Kicker Scores Game-Winning Field Goal in 31-28 Victory Over Arizona Cardinals
The New York Giants got down as much as 20-0 in the first half to the Arizona Cardinals. They didn't score until the second half, and before they began mounting the comeback, the Cardinals got up 28-7.
The Giants scored 24 unanswered points, capped off by a Graham Gano field goal with 19 seconds of play remaining. The kick marked the Giants' biggest comeback in over 75 years.
Gano is a former Florida State kicker who spent three years in Tallahassee from 2006 to 2008. In his third season, he scored 105 points on 33 PATs and 24 field goals in 11 games played.

In his final year with the Seminoles, Gano won the Lou Groza award, leading the ACC in points scored from a kicker that season.
After completing his collegiate career, Gano signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2009 NFL Draft. He's been in the NFL ever since, now playing in his 14th season. He's made 313 of his 372 field goals in the NFL, good for an 84 percent completion rate.
It's safe to say the Florida State kicker has carved out quite the NFL career since making the jump from the collegiate level. He was elected into the FSU Hall of Fame in 2021.
Throughout Gano's lengthy NFL tenure, he's remained a premier talent and has proven invaluable at his position over the years, and his field goal on Sunday was the twelfth game-winner made in his career.
