Jalen Ramsey Pokes Fun at The University of Miami in Dolphins’ Introductory Press Conference
Rosters have been scrapped, loaded, altered, and enhanced across the National Football League this week as teams try to find the right talent to make a push for Super Bowl LVIII.
Former Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey made headlines when it was announced that the Super Bowl champion and six-time Pro Bowler would make his return to Florida for the 2023-2024 season. In a surprising move, the Los Angeles Rams traded the seven-year veteran to the Miami Dolphins for a 2023 third-round pick and tight end, Hunter Long.

Ramsey spent four seasons with the Rams, played in 57 games, and recorded 242 total tackles, ten interceptions, 47 passes defended, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two fumble recoveries, and the first two sacks of his NFL career (Per TheRams.com). Now, he’s set to join an overhauled Dolphins defense and feature alongside superstar cornerback Xavien Howard. The ever-confident and boisterous Ramsey wasted no time showcasing his excitement over becoming a Miami Dolphin.
“When I was at FSU, I used to tear them up.”
Ramsey took to the podium for his official introductory press conference. He shared a variety of insights, from his want to join the Dolphins to his friendship with Howard and the potential he sees in Miami’s roster heading into the next season. He commented on the overwhelming support and love he had received since joining the team. In true Jalen Ramsey fashion, he couldn’t help but add a flair of “trash talk” to the mix.
Since his comments at the press conference, the former National Champion has continued to poke fun at the University of Miami via Twitter.
“What’s crazy is growing up I was a Miami Hurricane fan… I used to visit & all then they didn’t offer me, so I started to hate everything Miami & went to FSU," tweeted Ramsey.
For the time being, Ramsey, a proud member of the Florida State DB fraternity, now calls Miami home, and he will suit up for the new-look Miami Dolphins come September.
