WATCH: Former FSU Basketball Standout Posterizes Lakers' Anthony Davis
Former Florida State star Terance Mann and the Los Angeles Clippers were playing their rival Lakers on Wednesday night in their 4th and final matchup of the season. Midway through the first quarter, Mann took a handoff from Kawhi Leonard with Anthony Davis running in stride with him on his way to the basket. Below was the result, a left-handed flush right over Davis.
The Lakers came out on the top, winning 116-112, but Mann had a solid game overall as the Clippers played without All-Star Paul George, finishing with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, shooting 7/9 from the floor. Mann has started in 46 games this season, averaging 7.9 PPG, 3.4 RPG, and 1.9 APG while shooting 47.1% from the floor. He's seen his responsibilities offensively diminish slightly as the Clippers have four former All-Stars on the team: George, Leonard, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook.
Mann has proven himself to be a valuable contributor for a team with NBA Championship hopes in his 5th season in the League. Many will remember his punch over Rudy Gobert in Game 5 of the 2021 Playoffs, before exploding for 39 points in Game 6.
Terance Mann spent four seasons at Florida State, 2015-2019, where he started 101 games and averaged 9.4 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 1.9 APG across his career. He was over double-digits scoring each of his last two seasons, breaking out as one of the better players in the ACC in FSU's Elite Eight run in 2018.
