BREAKING: Four-Star Quarterback Announces Pledge To FSU Football
Florida State is quickly flipping its quarterback room into a strength. After the Seminoles were left with just one scholarship signal-caller for the Orange Bowl against Georgia, the coaching staff went to work on stacking the position with experience and quality depth.
With transfer DJ Uiagalelei and four-star prospect Luke Kromenhoek joining redshirt freshman Brock Glenn in Tallahassee, there's still room for more. On Wednesday, four-star quarterback Trever Jackson announced that he was pledging to Florida State over Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, and others. The Seminoles have never officially offered him a scholarship so it's possible that he's joining the program as a walk-on.
Jackson is a prospect that the Seminoles are quite familiar with as he was on campus multiple times during his recruitment. That includes a trip to a Junior Day in January of 2023. He also competed at FSU's Seminole Showcase leading up to the 2022 season before attending the home finale victory over Florida on Black Friday.

The Florida native was invited to the Elite 11 over the summer. He impressed at the event among other top quarterback prospects and was rewarded for his efforts by winning the Rail Shot Challenge, which is essentially a competition to test accuracy between all of the players. Kromenhoek also competed in the event and was one of the consensus top prospects in attendance. Jackson pledged to Ole Miss in August before backing off of that commitment in October.
As a senior, Jackson completed 56/101 passes (55.4%) of his passes for 916 yards with seven touchdowns to five interceptions while rushing 104 times for 855 yards and two more scores. His best performance during his final season at the prep level came in October as he connected on 9/11 passes for 190 yards and a score while adding 68 yards on the ground in a 51-14 victory over Boone High School.
With the addition of Jackson, Florida State holds 35 members in #Tribe24 and the No. 7 class in the country.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback is regarded as the No. 348 overall prospect, the No. 22 QB, and the No. 48 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2024 class.
