FSU has since added top transfer DJ Uiagalelei alongside touted recruit Luke Kromenhoek and currently sits at No. 7 in recruiting rankings and No. 3 in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
BREAKING: FSU Football Locks In Another Alabama Football Transfer
Former FSU quarterback Chubba Purdy had a slow start as a Seminole after suffering a collarbone injury early in his career, only appearing in four games before transferring to Nebraska. During his time at FSU, he threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns, serving mainly as a backup to 2023 Heisman finalist Jordan Travis.
The Arizona native will be heading closer to home on the West Coast, where his brother Brock Purdy plays with the San Francisco 49ers. He announced via Twitter that he will be graduate transferring to San Jose State in California, and it will mark the second quarterback who has headed out west for Florida State, with AJ Duffy transferring to San Diego State.
Purdy threw for 382 yards and two touchdowns to three interceptions in 2023, serving in a backup role for Nebraska. He was rated as a 4-star quarterback out of high school and the No. 7 player in Arizona in the 2020 class per 247Sports.
