Five-Star TE Landen Thomas Talks Building Relationships With #Tribe24 at FSU Elite Camp

"FSU is coming up. We're about to build something great, so why won't you wanna come be a part of it?"

The Florida State Seminoles held their annual Elite Camp on Saturday, attracting top prospects nationwide. Among the attendees were FSU commits like four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, four-star running back Kam Davis, three-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr, wide receiver Devin Carter, four-star wide receiver BJ Gibson and five-star tight end Landen Thomas. 

Additionally, several other highly regarded recruits attended, getting on-field opportunities to interact and showcase their skills with the coaching staff.

Class of 2024 tight end Landen Thomas, who was previously committed to the University of Georgia, decided to flip his commitment back to the 'Noles in April of this year. During the Elite Camp, Thomas had the opportunity to meet with other commits from his class and those from subsequent classes ahead.

"It's good because they're going to be your teammates in the future, so it's a good thing to be around them and see how they are and see how they play," Thomas said about interacting with Kromenhoek, Davis and Gibson. "We done talked before. I talked to BJ a couple times. I talked to Kam a couple times and Luke a little bit."

The Georgia native is excited about the 2024 class that Florida State is building in Tallahassee.

"It's good because, you know, you're gonna be surrounded by a whole bunch of great players that gonna make you wanna play great so that's good," Thomas said."

The country's No. 1 tight end prospect, had an outstanding junior year at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. According to MaxPreps.com, he recorded 753 receiving yards with eight touchdowns and scored five touchdowns on the ground. 

Thomas had a message for recruits who may want to become future Seminoles.

"FSU is coming up. We're about to build something great, so why won't you wanna come be a part of it?"

He will return for his official visit at the end of the month from June 23-25.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end is regarded as the No. 24 overall prospect, the No. 1 TE, and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
