Who Has the Best Odds to Land Former Florida State Running Back Dalvin Cook?
Former Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is reportedly on the move. On Thursday, Adam Schefter reported that barring any last-minute trades, Cook was set to be released by the Minnesota Vikings.
That news became official on Friday afternoon and Cook will now be able to select his next team through free agency.

With the former Seminole potentially being able to pick his next destination, his odds for his next team have been released.
The New York Jets, narrowly beating out the Miami Dolphins, have the best odds to land the Seminole’s all-time rushing leader with +350 odds according to Adam Thompson of bookies.com. The Dolphins are a close second with +375 odds. Both teams give Cook an electric offense to join where he would have less pressure to perform at an elite level.
Recently, Cook posted a picture on his Instagram story with him celebrating in Hard Rock Stadium, the Dolphins’ home stadium.
After those two teams, the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys have the next best odds. Coming in at third, the Bears have +500 odds to land Cook, whereas the Cowboys have +525 odds. The Cowboys would likely use Cook in tandem with Tony Pollard. While Pollard continues to get healthy, Cook would be a great short-term fix for the team.
Of course, these odds differ based on different sportsbooks, and sports bettors with legal US sports betting may be able to find better odds on different sportsbooks.
Just behind the Cowboys in odds are the Arizona Cardinals, who have +650 odds to land Cook. However, Cook has reportedly told insiders that he wants to land with the Dolphins or Buffalo Bills. The Bills have the sixth-best odds (+750) to land the four-time Pro Bowl running back. If Cook wants the best chance at playing an elite role in a potential Super Bowl run, the Bills might be a great destination as his services would be needed if the Bills want to be able to contend for a title.
Over the past season, despite having seemingly lost a step in terms of consistency, Cook has proved that he still can provide explosive play, and a change of scenery may help the former unanimous All-American running back find that consistency again.
Since being selected in the second round in 2017, Cook has dealt with injuries, but since becoming a full-time starter in 2019, Cook has shown the potential and promise he had shown during his playing days at Florida State. This has been proven with four straight Pro Bowl selections, too.
Whichever team lands Cook will get a solid boost of production in the running back position with whatever role he lands on his next team.
