Florida State Continues Success On Recruiting Trail With Pledge Of Massive Offensive Lineman
The Seminoles are kicking off August exactly the same way that they left July. After picking up ten commitments last month, Florida State isn't slowing down on the recruiting trail.

On Tuesday afternoon, three-star offensive lineman Jayden Todd announced his pledge to FSU over offers from programs such as Virginia Tech, UAB, Liberty, Georgia State, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Cornell. He becomes the fourth commitment for the Seminoles in the last five days, joining five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, four-star offensive lineman Manasse Itete, and three-star linebacker Timir Hickman-Collins.
The Georgia native will probably slot in as an offensive tackle at the college level but he has the frame to play along the interior as well. Todd is an under-the-radar recruit who is still relatively new to the recruiting process. He's only played high school football for one year and his first visit to Florida State was on May 13.
Todd returned to Tallahassee on June 10 for Florida State's Elite Camp and was back on campus over the weekend for the Seminole Showcase. His performance during the outing was enough for him to earn a scholarship for the program, paving the way for his commitment in the aftermath.
A big reason he chose the Seminoles is his relationship with offensive line coach Alex Atkins.
"Coach Atkins seems like a really nice guy," Todd said to NoleGameday previously. "It seems like he's really down to Earth which I like in a person when they're not going to lie to me and they're going to be straight forward with me. I like that he's a really down to Earth guy."
With his pledge, Florida State is up to 21 verbal commitments in a 2024 class that ranks No. 6 in the country.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive lineman is regarded as the No. 121 OT and the No. 159 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2023 class according to 247Sports.
