The Florida State Seminoles hosted an abundance of recruits at the Moore Center this past weekend. Multiple five stars from the high school ranks made it to campus for the Seminole Legacy event that the coaching staff put together to get recruits around former FSU standouts.

Among the star-studded visitors in attendance was tight end Elyiss Willams, a Five-Star 2025 prospect out of Folkston, GA. who spoke with the media following his visit and quickly named the Seminole his leader. This past Saturday marked the second time Williams has made it to campus during the calendar year.

"I toured the campus a little bit; I met some new guys, DJ (Daniels), some of the tight end coaches," Williams said to NoleGameday's Tommy Mire. "I had a lot of fun, and FSU is leading right now, I'd say."

A reason that FSU stands out at this point is due to head coach Mike Norvell's message and the conversation he had during the visit seemed to click. That message was simple.

"He was saying stars come here, stars come to shine," Williams said. "He just keeps it real every time, and he's going to put it point blank."

Tight ends coach Chris Thomsen has been heavily involved in Williams' recruitment and has built a solid foundation, which seems to shine every time Williams takes a trip to Doak Campbell Stadium.

"I feel like I've known him for a while now." Williams said of Thomsen, "Still talking to him daily, I've got to hit him up every time I come down here."

Utilizing tight ends is nothing new for a Norvell offense that is accentuated by various skill sets, either adding an extra lineman who can motion out and make a play downfield or block depending on the read and play called. Williams learned more about the offense while sitting down with coach Thomsen.

"I like the concepts; I was in the film room with coach Thomsen. I like how they're building it back. I see something here at FSU changing," Williams said. "I feel loved. I feel like they can push me to be the best I can be. An elite athlete at the highest level."

Outside of Florida State, schools such as Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Miami, and Tennessee are beginning to stand out to Williams. He'll take a trip to Athens soon and will return to Tallahassee for practice this spring.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound tight end is regarded as the No. 12 overall prospect, the No. 3 EDGE, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports.
