Four-Star QB, FSU commit Luke Kromenhoek Thinks Good News Is On The Horizon For The Seminoles

"I felt like we had a good recruiting weekend and feel like some good news is going to be coming in the next couple of days so I'm super happy."

It's been a busy summer for four-star quarterback and longtime Florida State commitment, Luke Kromenhoek. While taking on a leadership role in #Tribe24, he's also been trying to improve and prepare for his upcoming senior season.

That drive to always be his best recently led Kromenhoek to fulfill a lifelong dream when he participated in the Elite 11 Finals out in Los Angeles. He ended up being one of the top performers at the event after a strong showing in the 7-on-7 portion.

"It was a dream come true," Kromenhoek said to NoleGameday's Dustin Lewis. "Everyone if you're a quarterback, you kind of dream about going to Elite 11 and participating in that. So just to be able to be out there with those types of dudes, the best recruits in the nation and kind of just some of the best coaches and learn from them and toss the rock around."

"It was a great experience and I'm super thankful for it. For sure, footwork was big," Kromenhoek continued. "That was probably the first time I've ever taken a seven-step drop in my life. So that was a little, a little weird, but just stuff like that, and then kind of just perfecting the mechanics, having that same throwing motion every single time and just working on stuff like that."

The Georgia native returned to Tallahassee over the weekend for his official visit. It was an opportunity for Kromenhoek and his family to continue growing comfortable in their future home. He also did plenty of recruiting in the process.

"It was an unbelievable experience just to be here with all these other highly talented recruits that we want to make part of our family and then just to bring my whole family around the coaching staff and be with Coach Norvell's family and Coach Tokarz's family it was truly awesome," Kromenhoek said.

"It's unbelievable," Kromenhoek continued. "Every time I come here it's eye-opening and it tells me that I made the right decision so I'm super thankful for that."

Kromenhoek went to work on selling recruits to join him at Florida State. One prospect that he was focused on was four-star wide receiver James Madison II.

"I mean, James, first off, he's an unbelievable person outside of football. He's got a great personality, great dude. His family is unbelievable. So he's a big target for us and he's definitely somebody that we want," Kromenhoek said. "I'm pretty much doing everything I can to make him feel welcome, make his family feel welcome, make them feel like it's at home and kind of just create a relationship outside of football. I feel like that's important with him and a lot of these other recruits so I tried to do that with them and then sell them on the whole Florida State."

Another recruit that Kromenhoek spent a lot of time around was four-star offensive lineman Jon Daniels. The two pulled up together in head coach Mike Norvell's car on the second day of the visit.

"I didn't know him a ton. Obviously, I knew the name because he was one of the dude that we want real bad. We've texted a little bit here and there but relationship-wise, we didn't have like a super strong tight relationship," Kromenhoek said. "We were actually coming back from one of the little school meetings and we were in Coach Norvell's Maybach and so we're just talking it up, having fun and kind of talking we weren't necessarily talking about football we were talking about other things and kind of just creating a better relationship between each other and he's definitely a dude that we want. A dude that I want up there protecting me so just trying to create that relationship and kind of just sell him on whatever he needs to be sold on so we can get him here."

It's not hard for Kromenhoek to deliver a message that resonates with uncommitted recruits. He just tells them straight up how it is in Tallahassee.

"I think so. I mean, I'm not going lie to them. I'm going tell them straight up what it is and how the coaching stuff is. This class of 24, we don't have dudes here who are all about money. Like we have dudes here who want to come and work and who want to put that work in and put the sweat in on the practice field and earn their starting spot. They don't want anything given to them. So that's kind of what I tell them and it's a special place."

Four other prospects that are committed to Florida State joined Kromenhoek for official visits. He highlighted how close each of them are, including running back Kam Davis, who came to Tallahassee for an unofficial visit to be with the other commitments.

"Yeah, I mean, all of them committed dudes, this class that we have right now it's like a brotherhood. like, we're like a tight-knit family already. We're all super close with each other," Kromenhoek said. "We hang out with each other as much as we can we talk all the time. I mean, Landon's a great dude. Camdon's a great dude. I mean, Kam [Davis] just came out here just to be with us. He's not even on his official and he was just out here hanging around with us. That kind of just shows the type of dude that we're recruiting here and it's a family. We all want to be around each other and everyone has the same mindset of we can't wait to get here so we're all looking forward to that and I feel really, really good about the class that we have and some of the dudes that we're going get to join this class pretty soon so I'm super excited."

Following the visit, Kromnhoek believes that good news is coming for the Seminoles in the near future.

"Yeah, I mean, just to build this class better create better relationships between the families of these dudes that we want and, kind of just introduce my family to their families and create those connections," Kromenhoek said. "I felt like I did that and I felt like we had a good recruiting weekend and feel like some good news is going to be coming in in the next couple of days so I'm super happy."

Moving forward, what will Kromenhoek be doing as his eyes shift to his final season at the prep level?

"Obviously got football workouts coming up. I'm going make my way back down here soon just to come back and be with some of the dudes and then pretty much just continuing to work out and try and perfect that craft," Kromenhoek said. "I'm going to hit 6 points a ton. I'll be there every week just trying to get better and improve and then kind of just start focusing on the high school season coming up and getting stronger in the weight room and kind of just working out with my guys."

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound quarterback is regarded as the No. 63 overall prospect, the No. 8 QB, and the No. 11 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
