Pair of Florida State Commitments Visiting Other Programs During First Weekend Of June
With the beginning of the summer on the horizon, Florida State enters a month that could define where the program stacks up on the recruiting trail. Moves that are made in June could prove to be monumental for the teams that make the most of the next couple of weeks.

The Seminoles have 11 players committed in their 2024 class to this point of the year. The haul ranks No. 9 in the country according to 247Sports as seven of the 11 commitments are regarded as blue chips.
That means Florida State is going to have to put in the work to keep members of the class locked in as other teams around the country haven't given up on flipping them.
With FSU set to host six official visitors in Tallahassee beginning today, a pair of prospects committed to the school have planned visits elsewhere.
Four-star wide receiver BJ Gibson pledged to the Seminoles following the Spring Showcase in April. According to his social media, he's set to check out Stanford over the weekend. The Cardinal was one of the teams vying for Gibson's commitment prior to his decision.
The Georgia native has developed a strong bond with head coach Mike Norvell and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans. It appears that it will take something significant to change his mind moving forward. Gibson is scheduled to officially visit Florida State from June 16-18.
"Their personality really stands out. They both treat me like family," Gibson said previously. "They always tell me what they expect out of me and that's what I want to happen. I want to be real, I don't want no sugarcoating, I want you to get down to business and tell me how it's going to be and what it's going to be. I don't want there to be no fake stuff around."
Outside of Gibson, fellow four-star wide commitment TJ Abrams will officially visit Texas A&M over the next few days. Abrams pledged to Florida State following a trip in January but he hasn't returned to campus since then which may be telling about where his recruitment is trending.
The Florida native previously expressed his excitement to join the Seminoles due to the relationships he's built with coach Norvell and coach Dugans.
"The fact that what they are building at FSU is going to be special and I want to be a part of that," Abrams said previously.
Interestingly enough, Abrams has yet to publicly announce an official visit date to return to Florida State. He is scheduled to check out Florida from June 16-18.
Though Gibson and Abrams are continuing to enjoy their respective recruiting process, there's no reason to panic just yet. Gibson remains solidly committed and could lock his recruitment down following his official visit to FSU later this month.
As for Abrams, his pledge appears to be wavering somewhat based on setting up multiple trips elsewhere and some of his recent chatter on social media. Luckily for the Seminoles, the board at wide receiver is very deep with other attainable options like five-star Joshisa Trader, five-star Jeremiah Smith, four-star Cameron Coleman, and four-star James Madison still available.
